Question 1

Can I sit outside my car at the drive-in?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Lawn chairs, blankets, bean bags, truck beds and tailgates are all welcome, and regulars often bring an air mattress for the truck bed. The field is grass with no hard obstacles, so it's easy to set up a comfortable spot.

Question 2

How do I hear the movie at a drive-in?

Accepted Answer

Tune your car radio to FM 90.3, or listen to our outdoor speakers, which cover the whole field. Plenty of guests listen to the speakers from inside their cars, lawn chairs and truck beds.

Question 3

How does parking work at Silo Cinema?

Accepted Answer

Parking is first come, first served, and our staff will park you when you arrive. Smaller cars go up front and larger vehicles park behind them, so everyone gets a clear view of the screen. Arrive soon after the gates open for a spot near the front.

Question 4

What should I bring to a drive-in movie?

Accepted Answer

Bring something comfortable to sit on, like lawn chairs, blankets, bean bags or an air mattress for the truck bed. Cash is handy at the gate. Leave outside food, drinks, grills and Bluetooth speakers at home, since snacks, pizza and drinks are sold beside the silo.

Question 5

Are there bathrooms at the drive-in?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There are portable restrooms on site for guests. The viewing field is grass with no hard obstacles. If you have questions about getting around with a wheelchair or walker, call us at (336) 957-7522 before you come.

Question 6

Do I need to keep my car running during the movie?

Accepted Answer

No. Our outdoor speakers cover the whole field, so you can hear the movie with your car turned off. If you do run your engine, please keep the noise down so your neighbors can enjoy the show, and use your best judgment with your battery.

Question 7

What if my car radio doesn't work?

Accepted Answer

You'll still hear the movie. Our outdoor speakers cover the whole field, and plenty of guests listen to them from inside their cars as well as from lawn chairs and truck beds. A working FM radio is handy but not required.

Question 8

What are the rules at Silo Cinema Drive-In?

Accepted Answer

No outside food or drinks, no grills and no Bluetooth speakers. Please keep engine noise down, and if you smoke, be considerate of the people parked around you. Our staff will park you when you arrive, so just follow their lead and enjoy the show.

Question 9

How much does a drive-in movie cost at Silo Cinema?

Accepted Answer

Admission is $20 per car for up to four people, plus $5 for each extra person. Once the field is full, lawn tickets are $5 each. Large vans and buses are $5 per person, so please call ahead. One price covers the whole car.

Question 10

Do I need to buy tickets ahead of time?

Accepted Answer

No. Silo Cinema doesn't sell tickets online, so there's nothing to buy ahead. Just pay at the gate when you arrive. Cash is preferred, and cards are accepted, though a processing fee may apply.
